For years, physician, therapist,
podiatrist, dentists, chiropractors, nurses and other health
care practitioners have been successfully using Transuctaneous
Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) units for patients in
pain. A TENS unit is a small, portable, battery-powered
electrical pulse generator. It is thought to work by modifying
the perception of pain or by raising levels of the body's own
pain relievers. Used frequently in orthopedic conditions,
TENS Units have been prescribed for pain resulting from a variety
of other conditions, including arthritis, low back pain,
ankle and foot pain, phantom limb pain and acute pain from
some form of trauma. This unit
contains a stimulator that is connected via wires to electrodes.
The electrodes are attached to the skin. Our Dual output machines
allow two sites to be stimulated simultaneously, the stimulator
produces a pulsatile output, which can be of different wave
forms and delivered either continuously or in bursts.
The intensity can be controlled by the patient.
TENS Units are restricted
by the order of a Physician. So you need a Doctors Prescription
to purchase one.
